HookWatch Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 September 2026
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
HookWatch ("HookWatch", "we", "us") is an online service run from Germany. Contact details are also in our Impressum.
- Email: support@gethookwatch.com
- Fast contact: contact form
These Terms apply to the HookWatch website at https://gethookwatch.com, the API at https://api.gethookwatch.com, and every related service (together, the "Service"). You accept these Terms when you create an account, start a trial, pay, or use the Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms on its behalf.
"Consumer" means a person acting mainly outside their trade, business, or profession (§ 13 BGB). Some sections apply only to consumers, and they say so.
Legal provider information (Impressum under § 5 DDG) is available at /impressum (see also section 20).
2. What HookWatch does
HookWatch is a webhook relay. It:
- receives HTTP webhook alerts (for example from TradingView) and acknowledges them quickly;
- queues each alert and forwards it to the destination URL you set up;
- retries failed deliveries and moves alerts that still fail into a dead-letter queue;
- shows your recent deliveries in a hosted inbox (up to the latest 50 per account; older entries are removed automatically).
The features of each plan (for example the number of destinations, retry settings and support reply time) are listed on our pricing page at https://gethookwatch.com/#pricing. The version shown when you buy or renew a plan forms part of these Terms for that billing period.
3. No trading or investment services
HookWatch only relays HTTP payloads. It is not a broker, exchange, trading platform, signal provider, or investment adviser.
- We do not create, check, interpret, or change the trading content of your alerts.
- Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.
- We make no promise of any profit, performance, or result.
- You alone decide whether to trade and how. You alone are responsible for your strategies, alerts, destination systems, and any orders they place.
Webhooks can be delayed, duplicated, delivered out of order, or not delivered at all, for reasons that include your destination, the internet, third parties, or us. Don't rely on HookWatch as your only safeguard for time-critical or high-value trading. Use your own monitoring, risk limits, and fallbacks.
4. TradingView and other third parties
HookWatch is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TradingView or any other alert source or destination.
To send webhooks from TradingView you need a TradingView plan that supports webhooks. Some plans, including free ones, may not. TradingView and other third parties can change their features, formats, IP addresses, or availability at any time. We aren't responsible for third-party services. Their failure to send alerts is not a failure of the Service. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
5. Your account
- You sign in with a one-time magic link sent to your email address. Keep access to that mailbox secure, because anyone who controls it can get into your account.
- Keep your webhook URLs, tokens, and secrets confidential. Rotate them if you think they have been exposed. We may treat any request that uses your credentials as coming from you.
- Keep your email address up to date. We send important notices there.
- One person or organisation per account, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Don't create accounts to get around trial or plan limits.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break any law or anyone else's rights, or to send illegal, infringing, or harmful content;
- send spam, attack other systems, or forward traffic to destinations you are not authorised to use;
- probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, or get around rate limits, plan limits, or security measures;
- send malware, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond what the law allows;
- resell or white-label the Service without our written permission;
- send special-category personal data (for example health data), payment card data, or passwords in payloads, or other personal data you are not allowed to share.
Rate limits: We apply technical rate limits to keep the Service stable. Paid plans have no monthly alert allowance and no overage fees. If traffic threatens the stability of the Service, we may temporarily throttle forwarding until it returns to normal.
If we reasonably suspect a breach of this section, we may throttle, block, or suspend traffic or accounts. Where reasonable, we will tell you first. Where urgent, we will tell you afterwards.
You are responsible for the content of your payloads and for your destination URLs. If your payloads contain personal data of other people, you are responsible for having a legal basis to process it. If you are a business customer and send third-party personal data through HookWatch, we process it on your behalf, and we will provide a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) on request by email to support@gethookwatch.com.
7. Free trial
New accounts can try the Service for free for the first 10 alerts or 7 days, whichever comes first. No card is required. One trial per person or organisation. Trial limits may change for new trials.
The trial does not convert to a paid plan automatically, and you are never charged without choosing a plan. When the trial ends, forwarding pauses and HookWatch answers new alerts with an error until you pick a plan.
8. Plans, prices and card payments (Stripe)
Plans (monthly):
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Starter | €19 / month |
| Ops | €49 / month |
Current plan features: https://gethookwatch.com/#pricing.
Tax: All prices are final prices. As a small business under § 19 UStG (German VAT Act), no VAT is charged or shown. (German: "Gemäß § 19 UStG wird keine Umsatzsteuer berechnet.") We add no further taxes or fees. Crypto network fees and any fees charged by your bank or card issuer are your responsibility (section 9).
Card subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel.
- Cancellation: You can cancel at any time through the billing settings in your HookWatch dashboard (which open the Stripe Customer Portal), or by emailing support@gethookwatch.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, unless section 10.1 says otherwise. You keep access until then, and you won't be charged again.
- Plan changes: You can upgrade or downgrade at any time in the billing settings. Any proration (credit or extra charge for the rest of the current period) follows Stripe's standard handling and is shown to you before you confirm the change.
- Failed payments: If a payment fails, we may retry it. If it stays unpaid, we may limit or suspend the Service.
- Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect on your subscription. You can cancel before the change takes effect.
9. Crypto payments
Crypto payments are currently not offered to new customers. This section applies to crypto invoices already issued, and to crypto payments if we offer them again. As an alternative to card payments, you can pay with a one-time stablecoin invoice. We receive these payments directly into our own wallet. No third-party crypto payment processor is involved, and payments are confirmed manually.
- Accepted: USDT or USDC on TRON, BNB Smart Chain (BSC), Solana, or Ethereum, as offered at checkout. Only the exact asset, network, and address shown on your invoice are accepted.
- What you get: Each fully paid invoice gives 30 days of access to the chosen plan, starting when we activate the payment. Crypto payments do not renew automatically. To continue, pay a new invoice.
- Amount: The invoice states the exact amount due in USDT or USDC. It may include a small unique cents amount so we can match your payment. The amount you must send is the amount on the invoice, not a converted EUR value.
- Validity: Each invoice is valid for the time shown on it (currently 45 minutes). Don't pay an expired invoice; create a new one instead. If you pay an expired invoice anyway, we treat it as an underpayment or overpayment as below, or refund it on request under section 10.2.
- Network fees: You pay all network fees. The amount that arrives in our wallet must be at least the invoice amount.
- Activation: After you send the payment, give us the transaction hash as shown at checkout. We check payments manually, so activation is not instant. We aim to activate within 24 hours.
- Underpayment: An underpaid invoice is not activated until the difference is paid. You can top up the missing amount (contact us with your order ID and transaction hashes), or ask us to refund the amount we received, minus the network fee for sending it back (section 10.2).
- Overpayment: If you pay more than the invoice amount, we activate the order as normal. On request, we refund the excess in the same asset and on the same network, minus the network fee for sending it. If the excess is smaller than that fee, we cannot refund it.
- Wrong asset or network: Funds sent on the wrong network, in the wrong token, or to the wrong address may be lost permanently. We may not be able to recover them.
- Irreversibility: On-chain transactions cannot be reversed. Check the address, asset, network, and amount before you send.
- Compliance: We may refuse or delay activation if we reasonably believe a payment is connected to illegal activity or sanctions. In that case we handle the funds as the law requires.
Payment confirmations for crypto payments carry the note "Gemäß § 19 UStG wird keine Umsatzsteuer berechnet."
10. Refunds
10.1 Refund policy
If you ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment for HookWatch, we refund that payment in full, and your paid access ends. This applies once per person or organisation, and it covers the first payment only, whether it was made by card or crypto. Later payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise (sections 11, 12 and 15). This goodwill refund applies in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them. Cancelling a card subscription stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
10.2 How refunds are paid
- Card payments: refunded through Stripe to the original payment method. Your bank may take a few days to show the refund.
- Crypto payments: refunded in the same asset and on the same network as the original payment, based on the amount we actually received in that asset, not a converted EUR value. We send it either to the address the payment came from, or to another address you give us in writing (email to support@gethookwatch.com). You are responsible for making sure the address is correct and can receive that asset on that network. We may ask you to prove that you control the account email before we pay. Once we have sent a crypto refund to the address you confirmed, it cannot be reversed.
- Network fees: For voluntary refunds (section 10.1 and refunds of underpayments or overpayments under section 9), the network fee for sending the refund is deducted from the refund amount. For refunds the law requires (for example withdrawal under section 11), we pay the network fee for sending the refund. The network fees you paid on your original payment are not refunded.
- Underpaid invoices: Payments that were never activated (section 9) are refunded on request under this section.
10.3 Chargebacks
If you start a card chargeback instead of contacting us, we may suspend the account until the chargeback is resolved. This does not affect your statutory rights.
11. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason. The full withdrawal notice and a model withdrawal form are in the Annex at the end of these Terms.
Immediate start: When you buy a plan, you can expressly ask us to start the Service immediately, before the withdrawal period ends. If you do this and then withdraw, you must pay a proportionate amount for the Service provided up to the time you tell us that you are withdrawing. Your right of withdrawal ends early once the Service has been fully provided at your express request, and you confirmed that you know you lose the right at that point.
12. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim for a reliable Service, but we don't guarantee any particular uptime, delivery time, or delivery success. No service level agreement (SLA) applies unless we agree one in writing. We may carry out maintenance, which we will announce in advance where reasonably possible. Outages can also be caused by our hosting and infrastructure providers or by events beyond our control.
We may improve or change features, provided the core function you paid for stays substantially the same, or the change is required by law or security. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. If a change seriously harms you as a paying customer, you may cancel, and we will refund any prepaid amount for the period after the change.
Stored data in the hosted inbox is a convenience feature, not a backup. Keep your own records of anything you need.
13. Liability
We are liable without limitation:
- for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence;
- for injury to life, body, or health;
- under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz);
- where we have given a guarantee or fraudulently concealed a defect.
For slight negligence, we are liable only if we breach an essential contractual obligation ("cardinal obligation"). This is an obligation that must be met for the contract to be performed properly at all, and that you regularly rely on. In that case, our liability is limited to the typical damage that was foreseeable when the contract was concluded. Otherwise, we are not liable for slight negligence.
For business customers (not consumers), our liability for slight negligence is also limited, per contract year, to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the damaging event.
Given the nature of the Service (see sections 3 and 12), trading losses, missed opportunities, or losses from delayed, duplicated, or undelivered alerts are usually not typical foreseeable damage. The rules above still apply in full.
These limits also apply to our representatives and assistants. Nothing in this section changes the burden of proof to your disadvantage, or limits liability where the law does not allow it.
14. Your responsibility
If you breach these Terms or the law, and a third party makes a claim against us because of your payloads, destinations, or use of the Service, you will compensate us for the reasonable costs of that claim. This applies only where you are at fault.
15. Term and termination
- Paid subscriptions run month to month until cancelled (section 8). Crypto access ends after its 30-day period (section 9).
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@gethookwatch.com from your account email address. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a running card subscription; cancel it first or ask us to cancel it in the same email.
- We may end a free account or trial at any time with reasonable notice. We may end a paid subscription with 30 days' notice, to the end of a billing period.
- Either side may terminate immediately for good cause (§ 314 BGB). For us, this includes serious or repeated breach of section 6, fraud, or non-payment.
- After termination, we stop accepting and delivering alerts. Your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. If we terminate without cause, we refund any prepaid fees for the period after termination.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example to reflect legal, technical, or pricing changes. We will email you about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after that date, you accept the new Terms. If you object before that date, either of us may end the contract when the change takes effect. We will point this out in the notice. Changes to core obligations or prices for existing paid periods need your consent.
17. Governing law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of habitual residence.
If you are a merchant (Kaufmann), a legal entity under public law, or have no general place of jurisdiction in the EU, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the operator's place of residence in Germany.
We are not obliged, and not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
18. General
- If any provision is invalid, the rest stays in force, and the statutory rules apply in its place.
- We may transfer the contract to a successor running the Service. We will tell you in advance, and consumers may terminate if they object.
- These Terms are written in English, and the English version is binding. If we publish a translation, it is for convenience only.

The full legal provider information required under § 5 DDG and § 18(2) MStV is published in our Impressum at /impressum.
Annex: Withdrawal notice and model withdrawal form (consumers)
Withdrawal notice
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (HookWatch, support@gethookwatch.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement (for example an email, our withdrawal button at https://api.gethookwatch.com/withdraw). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you don't have to.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough for you to send your notice that you are exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you without undue delay, and at the latest within 14 days of the day we receive your notice of withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you. For crypto payments, this means the same asset and network (section 10.2). You will not be charged any fees for this refund.
If you asked us to start the services during the withdrawal period, you must pay us a reasonable amount. It corresponds to the proportion of the services already provided up to the time you inform us that you are exercising the right of withdrawal, compared with the total scope of the services under the contract.
